Good afternoon Chef Chidi, thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Please what is browing? I don’t know if it’s sold at the market or it’s a mixture I can create myself. Or please chef can I use dark soy sauce in place of it. Thank you.

I am a lil bit sceptical about the browning, can I replace it with soysauce or oyster sauce since I can still get same colour? My point is the additional sugar in the browning .

In reply to Stella. I will be making party rice soon, if you are subscribed to my newsletters, you will get the recipe. Browning is used for Caribbean rice and then cakes, cookies etc. I have not tried it with jollof rice but you can experiment with it.
